Anaa Atoll, Raeffsky Islands, Tuamotus Islands, French Polynesia - Earth View

Located within the Raeffsky Islands subregion of the vast Tuamotu Archipelago in French Polynesia, Anaa Atoll is made up of 11 small barren islands – 29.5 km in length and 6.5 km wide, with a total land area of 38 km² supported by a population of approximately 500 citizens of France.

The beautiful turquoise lagoon of the atoll is shallow, formed by three main basins where a multitude of coral reefs can be found. While the lagoon does not have any navigable access from the South Pacific Ocean, the water renews via several small channels that can amazingly be crossed by walking – perfect for travelers seeking the ultimate oceanic tropical experience with wild sun bleached sandy beaches located 350 km east of Tahiti.
